Yangon-Bagan-Mandalay-Yangon
( 8 Days / 7 Nights )
Day 1 On arrival meets and transfers to hotel. Evening sightseeing
around Yangon and seeing night life of a certain part of Yangon. Stay
overnight in Yangon.
Day 2 Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Arrive
Bagan and check in at the hotel. Sightseeing in Bagan including: Shwezigon
Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Kyansittha Umin, a monastic
residence with painting influenced by Mongol Tartar invasion of 13th
century; Htilominlo temple, a two stored temple with fine stucco carvings;
the finest temple Arnanda and the highest temple Thatbyinyu. In the
evening catch sunset view from Mingalar Zedi. Stay overnight in Bagan.
Day 3 Whole days sightseeing in Bagan consisting Nyaung Oo Market,
Gubyaukgyi (Wettkyi Inn), a well known painted temple; the heaviest temple
Dhamayangyi and Sulamani, a two stored temple with fine mural paintings of
Konbaung period (1752-1895). Evening visit Lawkananda Pagoda, a tall bell
shaped stupa in the site of ancient Barbour; Lacquer ware cottage
industry, Phayathonsu, a unique three connected temple with unfinished
paintings; Thanbula, a small temple with good handwritings and paintings
and sunset form Tayokepyay temple. Stay overnight in Bagan.
Day 4 Morning transfer to Nyaung Oo airport for flight to Mandalay.
Arrive Mandalay and transfer to Hotel. Sightseeing in Mandalay includes
Mahamuni Pagoda, visiting various carvers' quarters, gold beating and gold
leaf making. In the evening catch sunset view from Mandalay Hill. Stay
overnight in Mandalay.
Day 5 Morning transfer to jetty and by boat to Mingun. Arrive at
Mingun to see unfinished pagoda, the biggest ringing bell and Myatheindan
Pagoda. After lunch drive to Sagaing/ Amarapura sightseeing in and around
Sagaing/ Amarapura. In the evening drive back to Mandalay. Stay overnight
in Mandalay.
Day 6 Early morning drive to Pyin-Oo-Lwin (a hill station), view
point over 465 meters above sea level. Whole day sightseeing in
Pyin-Oo-Lwin including: Clock Tower and market; Pwegauk waterfalls;
Chinese Temple; 142 hectare Botanical Gardens and Maha Peikchinmyaung
Cave. In the evening drive back to Mandalay. Stay overnight in Mandalay.
Day 7 Morning transfer to Mandalay airport for flight to Yangon.
Arrive Yangon and transfer to Hotel. Whole day sightseeing in Yangon,
which includes Shwedagon Pagoda, World Peace Pagoda with Maha Pasana Man
made cave, Meilamu Pagoda and Abayalabamuni image (world largest carved
out marble image). Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 8 Morning drive to Bogyoke Market and one-stop shopping there.
Afternoon transferred to Yangon airport for final departure.
