Yangon-Mrauk U-Sittwe-Yangon-Kyaikhto-Mawlamyine-Yangon
( 10 Days / 9 Nights )
Day 1 On arrival meets and transfers to hotel. Evening sightseeing
around Yangon and seeing night life of a certain part of Yangon. Stay
overnight in Yangon.
Day 2 Morning transfer to airport for flight to Sittwe. Arrive
Sittwe and transfer to jetty for boat to Mrauk U. Arrive Mrauk U and check
in hotel. Stay overnight in Mrauk U.
Day 3 Full day sightseeing in Mrauk-U. Visit Dukkanthein Pagoda,
built in 1571; Laymyathna Pagoda, one of the original pagoda at the time
of the founding of Mrauk-U; Koethaung Pagoda, built with the intention of
paying tribute to the 84,000 future Buddhas; Andaw Pagoda, said t enshrine
the tooth relic, built in 1521. Stay overnight in Mruak-U.
Day 4 Early morning transfer to jetty for boat to Sittwe. Overnight
in Sittwe.
Day 5 Morning sightseeing in Sittwe and in the afternoon transfers
to airport for flight to Yangon. Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 6 Morning drive to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock), a huge
boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the
edge of a cliff. Stay overnight in Kyaikhto.
Day 7 In the morning time sightseeing around Golden Rock. And then
depart from Kyaikhtiyo for Mawlamyine. En route, stop in Thaton, former
capital of the Mon Kingdom. For lunch, stop at simple restaurant en route.
Arrive in Mawlamyine late afternoon. Stay overnight in Mawlamyine.
Day 8 Full days sightseeing in Mawlamyine and its environs. Stay
overnight in Mawlamyine.
Day 9 Morning drive to Yangon via Bago. Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 10 Morning drive to Bogyoke Market and one-stop shopping there.
Afternoon transferred to Yangon airport for final departure.
